Tine Reid

Master Psychology, Diploma Dance

Tine is a professional dancer and choreographer from Leipzig, Germany. Born in 1989 she started her dance studies at the “Balletschule der Oper Leipzig” at the age of 6. In 2004, she moved to Dresden to attend the “Palucca Schule Hochschule für Tanz” under the direction of Jason Beechey. Tine was awarded one of two prestigious “Palucca-Stipendium” awards for particularly gifted students in 2008. In 2009, prior to her graduation, Tine choreographed a trio: “Crossroads”.

Tine started her first contract with Landestheater Eisenach under the direction of Andris Plucis, dancing numerous pieces with the company and furthering her choreographic journey. For the Young Choreographers Evening, held annually, Tine choreographed a solo entitled “Song of Myself” in 2010 and the following year the quintet “Der Phantasievolle Perfektionist”.

After Tine’s second season she left Eisenach to dance with the Landestheater Linz under Jochen Ulrich in Austria, working with Jochen and other esteemed choreographers such as Katrin Hall in the four seasons and Amir Hosseinpour in Philip Glass’ world premiere Opera “The Lost”.

Since 2013 she has been freelancing in both Austria and Germany working with Jonathan Lunn and again with Amir Hosseinpour.
During Tine’s professional dance career, having worked with artists such as William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Jiri Kylian, Rui Horta, Yuval Pick and others mentioned above, she has maintained her studies, focusing on psychology. Alongside her first contract she began her Bachelor degree by way of distance University in 2009. Upon completing her Bachelor thesis entitled “The Social Network as a cause of depression: is depression contagious.” in 2013. She has since completed her Masters in psychology at Uni Ulm and her 5+ year education to be a therapist at the IVT in Leipzig.
She has been working as a psychotherapist since 2019.
